Phil-Man Marine is ISO 9001: 2008 certified and currently with on-going process of migrating the system to 2015 version of Quality Management System. Likewise, Attestation of Compliance for MLC 2006 is on-going development to comply with the existing policies.

In compliance to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, we are now migrating the system from the previous 2008 to the latest 2015 version.
MLC 2006 – Maritime Labour Convention 2006 In compliance to MLC 2006, we are under Bureau Veritas S.A. Phils., and with on-going process of accreditation.
RECRUITMENT & SELECTION
We are committed to develop and maintain a sufficient pool of qualified seafarers to meet our customer’s requirements.
It is for this reason that we established a recruitment section that screens and conducts preliminary interview to all applicants. All national, international, flag-state and Principals requirements must be met by all applicants. This includes and extensive pre-employment medical examination, thus ensuring all accepted applicants are physically and mentally fit to work onboard ship.

Screening and Selection Process
To assess the applicant’s knowledge and skills, the recruitment section conducts oral interview and some written examinations to ratings to determine their capacity if qualified. We segregate those with and without sea experience. All seafarers are prioritized and short-listed.
SEAFARERS TRAINING
Our company is formulating in-house trainings for the selected and approved seafarers to enhanced their capacity for safety and security of all onboardship. Those trainings are as per principal’s needs as these are very particular to their vessel operations. Human relations and behavior training will be included on the list of modules.

CREW FAMILY WELFARE
Phil-Man provides the following services:
- Provide information to seafarer and family on their privileges and benefit served by OWWA, SSS, and Phil. Health.
- Ensures delivery of letters and other small parcels onboard brought by onsigning crew.
- Ensures urgent delivery of messages from the family.
We also provide other value-added services and organize activities for the seafarer and his family like:

Our seafarer’s allottees are provided allotment services without any charges
Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS)
Our PDOS is conducted and trainers are accredited by OWWA. The seminar includes a brief of company policies, Principal profile, discipline, safety and health hazards onboard, recent developments, accounting matters, etc.
Cultural Awareness*
We are also conducting cultural awareness seminars aimed at better understanding of the many nationalities that crew our vessel. We invite personalities from cultural organizations and personnel from the embassy to talk about the habits and ways of their countrymen.
PROTECTION & INDEMNITY*
Our In-House P&I officer ensures that our Principal’s repatriated crew is taken care of the moment he arrives in the Philippines. We make sure that the seafarer will get the much-needed assistance of transportation and medical treatment as soon as possible. The P&I Officer handles all issues on repatriation such as illness & injury. Also dismissal and death of seafarers.
